Kurland Insurance Agency, Inc. has been a family business since 1949. The founder, Joseph E Kurland Jr. was an attorney & insurance adjuster while building his insurance agency. In 1974 Charles Kurland joined the agency after graduating college. In 1976 the Agency was incorporated and Charles was named President. In 1979 Thomas Kurland joined the agency after working 11 years as a court reporter. Both Tom & Charlie worked in the Agency while attending high school & college, so an insurance profession was natural. In 1987, Tom & Charlie purchased the agency from the founder. In 2002 Matthew, our 3rd generation Kurland, was hired to head our Life, Health & Employee Benefits Department. Matt turned out to be a great asset to the Agency, and continues our professional committment of service to our customers. Today, the agency has 10 licensed agents and is located in Orland Park, Illinois. The Kurland Staff averages 16 years experience per employee.
