Kurland Insurance Agency Inc. has been a family business since 1949. The founder, Joseph E. Kurland, Jr. was an attorney and insurance adjuster while building his insurance agency. In 1974 Charles Kurland joined the agency full time after graduating college. In 1976 the agency was incorporated and Charles was named President. In 1979 Thomas Kurland joined the agency after working 11 years as a court reporter. Both Tom and Chuck worked in the agency while attending high school and college so an insurance profession was a natural. In 1987 Tom and Chuck purchased the agency from the founder and family members. Today, the agency has seven licensed employees and is located in Orland Park Illinois. The Kurland Staff averages 13 years experience per employee.
